Focus12 runs a structured day programme of 8 to 10 weeks, providing abstinence based treatment for people addicted to drugs and alcohol. This includes group therapy, 1 to 1 counselling, 12-step workshops, art therapy and acupuncture.

If you feel that you may need to stop using substances altogether Focus12 offers the understanding, experience and support needed to take this step.

Focus12 feel its important that you yourself pick up the phone and ask for help. They will then arrange a date and time for an assessment with you.

Homelessness can be a serious issue, especially if complicated with substance misuse and mental heath difficulties.

HOP [The Health Outreach Project] are the NHS team for the homeless of Ipswich.

If you are homeless, have a health problem but do not have a GP or find difficulty accessing other services, HOP could be a great help to you. Call or leave a message anytime and HOP will phone you back.

Iceni  offers a personalised structured approach to overcoming drug addiction.  Iceni is flexible and tailors treatment and packages of care, within a caring environment, to suit individual needs.  Self referrals are encouraged as well as referrals from other agencies.  You are invited to visit the services new premises any afternoon for a cup of tea and an informal chat.

Iceni welcomes and embraces the uniqueness and individuality of those that use their service.

Iceni's varied treatment programmes are designed to meet the needs of those who are at different stages in their drug use. Those who are in the early stages of deciding to give up drugs and to changing their lives, are especially welcome.

NORCAS  in Ipswich provides a free and confidential service to anyone who is affected by their own or someone else's drug or alcohol use. Services offered for those age 19 and over include;

SMS West [Substance Misuse Service West] offers a wide range of options for people who want to make positive changes in their substance misuse. Part of the service offers specific help around alcohol.

SMS West also provide needle exchange and support with HIV / AIDS and Blood Borne Viruses. They have regular clinics all over West Suffolk so give them a ring to find out which services are closest to you.

You can access the SMS West services yourself or you can be referred by your GP or any other professional you may be in contact with.
